So last week Xtract took the leap over the pond to visit the aptly named “Windy City” aka Chicago,IL for the annual USA Connected Insurance Conference. It was a meeting of minds and industry where those at the cutting edge of connected car technology sought to bridge the gap between insurers and auto-makers with data.
Some Brief Background on TU:
TU (Telematics Update) is the world’s largest gathering of Telematics and Automotive experts and is hosted over a two day period, which includes keynote’s, panel discussions, workshops and break-out sessions to facilitate networking. Chicago was host to their Connected Insurance spin-out conference, which brings together Telematics Service Providers,Automotive OEM’s and Insurers to share industry knowledge, seek out new upcoming technology and establish cross-industry partnerships in order to enhance their service offerings and customers propositions.
Xtract exhibited during Day 1 of the conference, based in the impressive Marriott Hotel. There Michael Flanagan, Xtract CEO pitched amongst the US’s most competitive auto-insurance startups for the prestigious TU Automotive Innovation Award. While on stage Michael explained how Xtract is disrupting traditional claims management by automating liability decision-making at FNOL using only the data generated from the connected car.
And of course it was then an honour to be awarded the prize as most innovative company on the day…..
Many thanks to Andy Pym and Sahil Jon and all involved for organising a fantastic event. We hope the engagement for all attendees was as valuable as we found it - we’re already looking forward to the next instalment from the TU Series!
